In a surpising move, Macavity asks his Assistant, Nightshade, to send his mate, Candace, for the evening... Natasha is looking out for Deme II but takes a break to enjoy some time with Cicero. When she finds him, she discovers that "she" had already been there... A play day finds the younger kittens debating on how to play regular games while having mystics as players. Serena and Bernadette finally talk... Tugger shows the gang his prospect for the 'house' and they are not impressed... McCarthy checks out...

Jerrie and Teazer discover there has been some changes to the Dock Patrols... Demeter is not the only one finding problems in dreams - Eudora is proving to be like Deme... Macavity plans a date. In the same manner, so does Murray...

Macavity takes Olivia to see CATS but in a manner that makes her visible to Munkustrap... Simon and Jessie, two swings in the show, feel Macavity's presence and leave the show... Murray asks Marie to take a walk with him in Central Park... Resting in the shade in Central Park, several members of the Tribe debate on the problem with Demeter II... Cicero shows Tugger the basement of the Natural History Museum...

Talking about Munkustrap Ive cant help wondering whats his relationship with Griz is? Not to mention that Griz much have some sort off past with old Deutoronomy... *Makes a note to read this story*

This is my opinion:

Every show I have seen so far seems to indicate that Munkustrap and Grizabella do not have any relationship. He is the Captain of the Guard and she is an unwanted invader. As to Old Deuteronomy, his number seems to indicate that he could be the father of the core members of the Tribe, which could include Grizabella as a daughter. He is definitely troubled about seeing her, and the last touch of the Jellicle Ball (after first Memory) causes him to meditate on the Moments of Happiness. Being the oldest member, Old Deut may have reluctantly disowned her when Griz was younger. His decision at the end may come from his realizing that Griz deserves a second chance - very similar to the Prodigal Son story.

Relationships in the Tribe - be they parents, siblings, lovers, mates or even cousins differ from each person's POV. Changing cast members - bringing in new people, or having veteran cast members changing parts - can cause changes in relationships as well. Performers build the character and thier relationships with other characters may or may not be influenced by how they feel about each other (as humans). For example, ever see Munkustrap go for Cassandra? During a period in the Broadway run, the actor playing the Silver Tabby was going with the actress playing Cassie. That relationship also showed up onstage [Note: secondhand information]. Probably one of the easiest examples of how the performer creates a character difference is Susan Tanner (Original Jellylorum - London). Her portrayal in the video of CATS seems to make Jellylorum into a Matron or mature adult. However, other actresses playing the part can make the butter calico Queen into a young adult.

POV can create so many differences. Six people watching one show can come away with six different ideas depending on what they saw, and how they interpreted it. That is the beauty of CATS from a fanfiction standpoint. The story is open-ended - the characters come in without any known history, and leave with possible relationships and the loss of Grizabella. Using just what we interpret from the show, we can create the pre-show history, and what happened after the show. This is what I did in the creation of the Ancients and Triad, and TJC and its offshoots. And that is the beauty of our imagination and the magic of this show.

Maybe thats what makes the show so popular among audience and actors alike? I mean every one can make up theyre mind off the different cats and theyre relations since not much is written on us by the creators.

The Dark Twins and Mysteera learn something about the origin of the Jellicles... The second Demeter discovers where Macavity is hiding 'Sheffie'... Tugger sees progress on the Mahattan Maison... The Tribal Demeter sees a change in her dream, and that gives her something to possibly change the future... Jellylorum has an unexpected patient enter the clinic, and Munkustrap is asked to do something that he does not want to do...

BOOK 7 -- Chapter 5 -- That Eerie Feeling
RATED PG15 - some Adult situations

Munkustrap and Natasha escort Demeter to a meeting with Macavity. Both sides learn something interesting... Rumpelteazer makes Jellylorum's day by delivering a Tom kitten... When Demeter gets back home, she discovers something that may change a lot of things... As Munkustrap and Natasha get back to the Tavern, he gives her a very distasteful order. She is told where to find 'Seffie', and meets with her - which changes the impact of the order Munkus gave her. And at the party, the Mystics deliver a very important Truth to the Tribe.

US TOUR is in Huntington WV (2/08--09); Dubuque IA (2/11) and Appleton WI (2/12--14).
