Yesterday, my friend randomly showed up at my house. It made my day and we had a great time.

I heard that RUG was releasing those rights! But I do hope that high schools can do it-I mean, you do need a chorus full of en-pointe ballerinas and a lead female who can hit that high E (?)...Unless some really horrible cuts are made and it turns into a Junior musical...but good luck with this!! :D

My director would rather die than make cuts to a musical, especially one like Phantom.

We do have a few dancers who can do pointe, but we might turn the Il Muto ballet and the bit in Hannibal into a normal ballet so that all of our dancers can do them. I dunno, we'll see. We'll probably take the pointe out of Hannibal and make Il Muto just for the girls who can do pointe.

I know for sure that we have one girl who can hit those high notes, but she's really more suited for Carlotta. I would pay to see her as Carlotta, not even kidding. I'm sure we have another girl suitable for Christine. We definitely have the perfect guy for the Phantom, and two wonderful guys for the managers, and a darling girl for Meg... I know, I know, pre-casting is bad, but I can't help myself.

I just hope the costume crew can pull off all the costumes. They made beautiful costumes for Scarlet Pimpernel three years ago, but all the people who were on costume crew then have graduated... And I really really really hope the makeup crew can pull off the deformity.

I have complete faith in stage and building to make all the sets. Those guys can build crazy things. I'm a little worried about the chandelier... Thank goodness I don't have to personally worry about all that technical stuff, hah. Ensemble performers have the easiest job.

Though after listening to the soundtrack of Zombie Prom, I'm not sure which I'm more excited about. It's like... Grease and Reefer Madness mixed together, with a dash of The Toxic Avenger and maybe a little taste of Little Shop of Horrors. I think I can hit all of the notes the female lead sings, but I don't really want it. I wouldn't like the stress of being a lead, hah. I'd love to be one of her friends, though. And it's all really 50s and cheesy, and it's so awesome.

So, I got a wild hair up my bum tonight and decided to look into a camping trip for me and my 2 best friends. I'm REALLY hoping it works out, and that we have tons of fun before they both leave me high and dry for colleges on opposite ends of the country.

Heh, I bet you have a sick school district with lots of money, that's why lol. We have a teeny district whose kids think theater is gay, no money at all...Last time I saw a musical the high school did, you wanted to bring earplugs. SO I guess if we did it, it would bomb so bad. :p

I spent a wonderful time this afternoon not going to tuition, and instead, helping my brother and Sis-in-law to unpack the stuff in their new home. Even though I'm tuckered out right now, I got to spend time with them, and that's what counts- plus the additional bonus of detracting from everyday life of non-stop tuition (the only reason I'm not asleep yet is because of homework. ><). I can't wait for the house-warming party next Sunday, which means another tuition session gone. Yes!

@Bomby, yeah, we do have a lot of money. =P Well, not A LOT a lot. People outside of the program seem to think we have endless amounts of money, but we don't. We just have a little more to spare. Most of it's donations, though. We have huge parent support, even from parents of kids who've already graduated. Theatre still isn't very much appreciated in the city, but we have enough people donating that it doesn't matter. And we have some pretty darn talented people.
